- Coach of 5 Region II Championship teams, 2 Region II Finalist teams and 15 State Cup Champions
- Coached 1 High School Division 2 State Championships (1998)
- Coach of 1 Mr. Soccer (2003) and Jacob Peterson (Colorado Rapids MLS player)
- Former Girls Varsity Head Coach at Birmingham Groves High School (1996-1999)
- Wolves-Hawks Coach since 1991
Derek Williford grew up playing soccer in the Livonia area for local club teams. He was a member of the founding 1984 Vardar III team, previously called the Westside Kids. Derek played high school soccer at Livonia Stevenson. He attended Oakland University from 89-92, Derek captained the 92 squad that made the Final Four. He was a Division II, Collegiate All- American in 1992. He played professionally with the Detroit Neon in the CISL in 1994.
