The Michigan Wolves-Hawks Soccer Club is a premier level soccer club based in Livonia, Michigan that provides a unique opportunity for serious, skilled and dedicated soccer players. The Michigan Wolves-Hawks are part of the exciting future of soccer in the United States at the very highest level. In 2007, the Wolves were selected as one of 76 elite youth soccer clubs from around the country by the U.S. Soccer Federation Youth Development Academy program at the under-16 and under-18 age groups. Due to the success of our club we have formed a strategic partnership with the Derby County Football Club to further assist the unique opportunities for our players. The Derby County Football Club will provide financial and technical support to the under-16 and under-18 Wolves teams playing in the US Development Academy. The partnership will help provide talented players with a direct route to the UK game. The collaboration of the coaches on technical training techniques between the two clubs will benefit all players within the Wolves-Hawks organization.
In 2010 we were selected for the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) for our girls in the U15 to U17 age groups. The ECNL will provide the highest-level league of girl’s youth soccer in the country, following a similar approach to that of the highly successful U.S. Soccer Development Academy on the boys’ side of youth soccer. The invitation-only league is designed to promote the most effective player development environment available for girls.
OUR PROGRAM:
The Wolves-Hawks Soccer Club offers age group teams for both boys (WOLVES) and girls (HAWKS) from under-8 through under-18. The under-8 through under-12 teams participate in the WSSL Select developmental program. Boys and girls in the under-13 age group (and a few additional teams) participate in the Michigan State Premier Soccer Program (MSPSP). The under-14 through under-18 age groups compete in the Midwest Regional League, the exclusive league for the elite teams in our state and region. We also offer a cost effective Youth Academy for U6 - U8 boys and girls in both the fall and spring.
Our youth development program is a vital factor in our club's growing success. As coaches and educators, we are well aware of the importance of providing a solid foundation for young players. The future development and success of a young player depends on receiving correct and relevant information at an early age. We have designed a curriculum that emphasizes age-specific technical skills combined with tactical decision-making to ensure the right information is received at the appropriate age level. We have strengthened our coaching staff to make certain our club leads the state in this essential area of player development. In addition to team practices, the club runs weekly technical training sessions and goalkeeping practices.
While the U.S. Soccer Development Academy and Elite Clubs National League is currently designed for the older age groups, the Michigan Wolves-Hawks Soccer Club will continue to emphasize player development at all age groups and with both the boys and girls teams. This will help to prepare each player to ultimately achieve his or her utmost potential.

WOLVES-HAWKS SUCCESS:
The Wolves-Hawks organization has demonstrated tremendous success in recent years. The club has had teams in the US Youth Soccer National finals for the last ten years and has won seven overall US Youth Soccer National Championships (in '89, '90, '91, '01, '03, 04, and '07). Eight gold stars appear within the Wolves-Hawks crest; each star represents one of these US Youth Soccer National Championships and the U16 U.S. Development Academy National Championship in 2009. In addition, there have been 25 Regional Championship Winners, one Super-Y League North American Champion, and dozens of State Cup Champions. Two former Hawks, Lindsay Tarpley and Kate Sobrero-Markgraff, are current members of the US Women's National Team. The club has numerous current youth National, Regional, and State Olympic Development Program players. Ever since Soccer America began ranking the best clubs in the nation in 2004, the Wolves-Hawks have been ranked as Michigan's best club, in fact, the Hawks have been ranked in each year, and the Wolves have been ranked in 3 out of 5 years. In the latest rankings of the best soccer clubs in the US, the Wolves come in at #3 and the Hawks are at #9.
The club has always made a strong commitment to placing student-athletes at top universities around the country and in assisting their search for college scholarships. Over the past decade, we have witnessed an inordinate number of college scholarships being awarded to our players. Our older players have shown the ability to combine athletics with academics and character. College coaches, on the other hand, recognize our young men and women as people who can both perform at the highest level of competitive soccer and excel in the classroom. This is truly a winning combination: student-athletes who are skillful, disciplined, and balanced.
