Welcome to Michigan Wolves-Hawks Soccer!

THE WOLVES-HAWKS MISSION:

The Michigan Wolves-Hawks Soccer Club has over 30 years of experience developing Michigan’s best players and teams.  We instill a love for the game in our young players and cultivate that passion as each athlete matures.  We build pride in our individuals, our teams, and our club.  We foster an environment that allows each player to experience the thrill of competition and participation, and the challenge of improvement.  The Wolves-Hawks take pride in the growth of club members as athletes, students, and responsible young men and women.

WOLVES-HAWKS SUCCESS:

The Wolves-Hawks organization has demonstrated tremendous success in recent years.  The club has had teams in the national finals for the last seven years and has won seven overall USYSA National Championships (in '89, '91, '92, '01, '03, ’04, and '07).  Seven gold stars appear within the Wolves-Hawks crest; each star represents one of these USYSA National Championships. In addition, there have been 29 Regional Championship Winners, one Super-Y League North American Champion, and dozens of National Indoor Champions. Two former Hawks, Lindsay Tarpley and Kate Sobrero-Markgraff, are current members of the US Women's National Team. The club has numerous current youth National, Regional, and State Olympic Development Program players. Ever since Soccer America began ranking the best clubs in the nation in 2004, the Wolves-Hawks have been ranked as Michigan’s best club, in fact, the Hawks have been ranked in each year, and the Wolves have been ranked in 3 out of 5 years. In the latest rankings of the best soccer clubs in the US, the Wolves come in at #9 and the Hawks are at #14.  The popular website National Soccer Ranking.com (http://www.nationalsoccerranking.com/) rates the Wolves at #7 and the Hawks at #8 for 2007.

US Soccer Federation Youth Academy:

"In a move designed to improve the development environment for players throughout the country, the U.S. Soccer Federation has taken the initiative in formalizing a nationwide development academy slated to begin in the fall of 2007. The U.S. Soccer Development Academy will begin with up to 80 elite youth soccer clubs from around the country being selected to join the program.

Created to provide players with the best possible opportunity to develop, the U.S. Soccer Development Academy is being initiated after a comprehensive review of player development systems in the United States and around the world.

Each Development Academy club will not only serve as a home for the nation’s top players, but also as a destination point within their community for shared learning and experience. One of the major advantages of the program will see players receiving integrated oversight from both youth club coaches and U.S. Soccer coaches, while training in their home environment. In turn, the Development Academy will provide an improved scouting environment for college, professional and U.S. National Team coaches."
