Birmingham Football Club Affiliation

Michigan Wolves-Hawks Soccer Club is pleased to announce its new affiliation with the Birmingham United Football Club. No acquisition, change of management or ownership of any kind is involved in this new alliance between our clubs. The relationship will simply allow interested players from Birmingham United FC to be considered for positions with our teams. The recommendation for a qualified player will come to us from the Birmingham staff. Our staff will then evaluate the player to determine their eligibility to play for the Wolves-Hawks.

Attached is the announcement that Birmingham United FC sent out regarding the new relationship. As stated in this news release, they view this as an opportunity for a few select, qualified players to move to a higher competitive level in the game.

BIRMINGHAM UNITED FC

 MICHIGAN WOLVES-HAWKS

FORM ALLIANCE

Birmingham, MI - January 2010 -

Our club is pleased to announce a new affiliation with the Michigan Wolves-Hawks Soccer Club.   This relationship will allow our players an additional avenue to pursue the game at the next competitive level.  Birmingham United has always had a great deal of respect for the Michigan Wolves-Hawks organization, their coaches, style of play, and in general their overall professional reputation as one of the top soccer clubs in the country.  This creates the opportunity for our players to experience a highly competitive soccer environment, if they so desire. Brian Doyle, Director of Coaching of the Michigan Wolves-Hawks, along with other head coaches of the organization, will be responsible for the evaluation and final selection of interested players.

Andy Chapman

"We are really excited to form this new soccer relationship with the Wolves-Hawks organization.  This will allow the players in our club to have opportunities to play at the next level.  I played professionally with many of their coaches, and I would trust them to do a great job identifying and helping players to further develop their soccer careers.  It is a very exciting relationship."

Ian Fairbrother

"We would only endorse another club if we had full confidence in their professionalism, and ability to help some of our players achieve their soccer ambitions.  We have respected Brian Doyle and his staff over the years for being the most competitive soccer program in the state.  We have always believed in Birmingham United's ability to fulfill our players potential through high school.  Now they have an additional platform (Wolves-Hawks organization) based on their own dedication and ability, to possibly play this game at college and beyond.  Our older players are especially excited with this opportunity."
